Job summary

Micron Technology seeks a highly skilled Member of Technical Staff to architect Agentic AI solutions in Smart Manufacturing AI Pathfinding & Innovation. Lead multi-step autonomous agents, design data pipelines, and deploy to Kubernetes, collaborating with data scientists and engineers to turn data into impactful manufacturing outcomes.

Ideal candidates have 8+ years in large-scale ML pipelines or production AI systems, strong cloud skills, and experience with vLLM/TensorRT-LLM.

Qualifications

• Experience optimizing inference engines (vLLM, TensorRT-LLM) for autonomous AI Agent workloads.
• Experience developing GenAI apps and AI Agents using one or more frameworks.
• Proficiency with LLMs, prompt engineering, function calling, and CoT reasoning.
• Experience designing Retrieval-Augmented Generation pipelines.
• Experience building and operating end-to-end autonomous AI Agents systems.
• Familiarity with MCP tools, plugins, and A2A protocol.
• Understanding of AI Agent security incl. sandboxing and access control.
• Experience with Kubernetes for deploying AI Agent workloads.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop autonomous AI Agents capable of multi-step reasoning and tool execution.
• Implement Agentic frameworks to orchestrate LLMs with internal APIs and tools.
• Build and maintain agent evaluation harnesses to benchmark accuracy and reliability.
• Analyze and profile agent workloads to reduce compute bottlenecks and latency.
• Implement interoperable multi-agent systems using A2A and MCP protocols.
• Create CI/CD pipelines for deploying AI Agents to Kubernetes and cloud environments.
• Design security controls for autonomous AI Agents, including sandboxing and access control.
• Mentor engineers on agentic system design and optimization techniques.
