Job summary

Appnovation Technologies is hiring AgentCore Platform Engineers to build the agent-facing layer of our platform in New York. You will focus on runtime patterns, memory strategies, and multi-agent handoffs, working with internal APIs, Lambdas, and legacy systems.

You will contribute to governance, security, and scalable tooling, writing clear, reusable code and providing enablement through docs and walkthroughs.

Qualifications

• Strong Python programming skills with production experience.
• Experience building LLM agents with at least one framework (e.g., Strands Agents, LangGraph, LangChain).
• Hands-on with LLM tool/function calling and handling model output.
• Strong AWS fundamentals: IAM, Lambda, API Gateway, containers, DynamoDB/S3, VPC, Secrets Manager.
• Experience designing REST APIs and OpenAPI specs; familiar with OAuth 2.0 and OIDC.
• Understanding of agent memory, retrieval (RAG) and context management trade-offs.
• Deep hands-on strength in at least one focus area and working knowledge of the other.
• Clear, well-tested code that peers can reuse and teach.

Responsibilities

• Define how agents are structured and run on AgentCore Runtime, including sessions and timeouts.
• Design memory patterns using AgentCore Memory and guide teams on usage.
• Build orchestration and multi-agent handoffs with clear boundaries and fallbacks.
• Expose internal REST APIs and Lambda functions as agent tools via AgentCore Gateway.
• Develop MCP servers with clean tool definitions and schemas.
• Set up authentication and authorization for agents and tools (AgentCore Identity, OAuth, IAM).
• Wrap legacy systems safely, handling rate limits and data mapping.
• Create reference implementations and starter kits for maintainability.
• Implement Bedrock Guardrails and contract tests for safety before go-live.
• Run onboarding sessions and write documentation to support teams.
