Job summary

Amazon seeks a Software Development Engineer for the Agent Platforms & Services team in New York. You will help define how AI agents operate, building an orchestration platform and secure identity frameworks for scalable advertising decisions.

You will work with Applied Scientists, product teams, and platform engineers to ship features, improve inference reliability, and enable greenfield experimentation at scale.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of design or architecture experience for large systems.
• 1+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience.
• 1+ years of designing large-scale, multi‑tiered or distributed software applications.
• 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience.
• Experience programming with at least one language.

Responsibilities

• Develop orchestration systems coordinating multiple AI sub‑agents for complex advertising workflows.
• Build identity, authorization, and permission frameworks for secure access.
• Implement feedback signal pipelines for expert judgement and model improvement loops.
• Partner with Applied Scientists to integrate reinforcement learning from human feedback.
• Design and operate end‑to‑end evaluation systems for quality and regressions.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define integration contracts and onboard new consumers.
• Own system reliability, observability, and performance for scalable agent infrastructure.
