Job summary

Economic Intelligence Co. is seeking a Software Engineer for the Platform to build the infrastructure our agents run on in NY or SF.

You will own the runtime, APIs, and core backend services that enable workflows, state, permissions, reliability, and observability, turning activity into trusted records the team can build on. You’ll work closely with researchers and incubation teams, own end-to-end design, deployment, and debugging, and bring security, correctness, and observability as key

Qualifications

• Experience building and operating production distributed systems.
• Strong background in backend languages: TypeScript, Python, Go, or Rust.
• Good API design, data modeling, and simple, reliable architecture.
• Ability to own systems end to end, from design to deployment and debugging.

Responsibilities

• Own runtime and APIs behind the platform's agents.
• Develop core backend services for workflows, state, permissions, and auditability.
• Ensure verifiability of agent actions and outcomes.
