Farmers District 40 is seeking a motivated Agent in Training to join our insurance sales team. You’ll generate new revenue, tailor coverage for clients, and help protect what matters most while learning the ropes of agency ownership.

This role offers paid training, mentorship, and a clear path to leadership. With base salary plus commissions and flexibility for hybrid schedules, you’ll grow your sales skills, gain licenses, and contribute to a supportive team focused on client service and growth.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience in sales, customer service, or insurance (preferred).
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Confident making outbound calls and closing business.
• Willing to learn and be coachable.
• Strong organization and time management.

Responsabilités

• Generate new business by identifying prospects, outreach, and converting leads into policies.
• Consult with clients to assess insurance needs and recommend coverage.
• Sell and cross-sell Auto, Home, Life, and Commercial policies.
• Maintain client relationships and conduct policy reviews.
• Meet and exceed individual sales targets.
• Stay updated on product information and compliance standards.
• Use CRM to manage leads, follow-ups, and renewals.
• Participate in team meetings and sales strategy sessions.

Key Responsibilities

• Generating new business by identifying prospects, conducting outreach, and converting leads into policies
• Consulting with clients to assess their insurance requirements and recommending appropriate coverage
• Selling and cross-selling various insurance products such as Auto, Home, Life, and Commercial policies
• Building and maintaining strong client relationships , offering ongoing assistance and conducting policy reviews
• Achieving and surpassing individual sales targets to help grow the agency
• Keeping current with product information and compliance standards
• Utilizing CRM tools to manage leads, follow-ups, and policy renewals
• Engaging in team meetings and sales strategy sessions

Ideal Candidate

• At least 1 year of experience in sales, customer service, or insurance (preferred)
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Confidence making outbound calls and closing business
• Receptiveness to coaching and a willingness to learn
• Strong organization and time management skills
• Property & Casualty and/or Life & Health license preferred (or willingness to obtain one)
• Bilingual skills are a plus
