Farmers Insurance is seeking motivated candidates for our Insurance Agent in Training program in Thousand Oaks, CA. You will learn to generate new business, tailor insurance solutions, and build lasting relationships—while receiving mentorship and professional development to prepare you for a licensed agent role.

We offer structured training, potential licensing, and a path to agency ownership, with hybrid scheduling options and a support-driven team culture that rewards achievement.

Competenze

• 1+ year of sales, customer service, or insurance experience preferred.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Willingness to learn, take feedback, and apply coaching.
• Property & Casualty and/or Life & Health license is a plus, or willingness to obtain licensing.
• Bilingual abilities are a plus.

Key Responsibilities

As an Insurance Agent in Training, you will:

• Learn to generate new business by identifying prospects, conducting outreach, and converting leads into policies

• Consult with customers to understand and recommend coverage that meets their needs

• Support sales and cross-sales of insurance products, including Auto, Home, Life, and Commercial policies

• Build and nurture strong client relationships through regular communication and policy reviews

• Work toward individual sales goals to support agency growth

• Become familiar with insurance products, services, and compliance requirements

• Use CRM tools to manage leads, follow ups, and monitor policy renewals

• Participate in team meetings, sales trainings, and strategy sessions

The ideal candidate will have:

• One or more years of sales, customer service, or insurance experience preferred

• Strong communication and negotiation skills

• Confidence in making outbound calls and conducting sales conversations

• Excellent organizational and time-management skills

• A Property & Casualty and/or Life & Health license is a plus, or willingness to obtain required licensing
