Job description

Overview

The Guest Service Agent will help create a positive guest experience by determining the individual needs of the RV Park guests. This is done through top-quality handling of telephone calls, answering questions about the Jackson Rancheria, booking reservations, processing payments, mailing documents, and other daily office duties. The Guest Service Agent represents the RV Park to guests throughout all stages of contact.

Responsibilities
  1. Maintain the daily functions of the RV Park Office.
  2. Greet and check in guests, answer questions, explain park rules and regulations.
  3. Assign and respond to reservation requests, knowing site locations, types, and rates.
  4. Use proper telephone etiquette and mail, package, and message handling procedures.
  5. Process cancellations and modifications promptly.
  6. Adhere to credit, check-cashing, and cash-handling policies and procedures.
  7. Perform bookkeeping activities, such as balancing accounts and conducting nightly audits.
  8. Post and file charges to guest, master, and city ledger accounts.
  9. Compute bills, collect payments, and make change for guests.
  10. Process guest check-outs.
  11. Contact custodial/maintenance staff when guests report problems.
  12. Assist park maintenance, pick up litter, clean sites, and maintain the recreation room and property.
  13. Record guest comments or complaints, referring customers to managers as necessary.
  14. Read and initial the pass-on log and bulletin board daily, staying aware of daily activities, meetings, and promotions.
  15. Maintain cleanliness and neatness of check-in areas and other park facilities as instructed by management.
  16. Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience

  • Previous front desk experience is desired.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

  • Able to obtain and maintain a JRCR Gaming License.
  • California Class C Driver's license required; must be vehicle insurable through JRCR’s agent.

Pay range: $18.00 - $23.40 per hour

Shift Differential: Non-exempt employees will receive a $1.00 per hour shift differential for hours worked between 10:00 pm and 6:00 am.

This is not a smoke-free workplace. Although we employ state-of-the-art air filtration systems, cigarette smoke is present in the work environment.
