Job summary

Great West is seeking an Agency Training Manager to lead strategy, development, and delivery of agency training programs at our South Sioux City, Nebraska office. You will guide the training team, partner with internal experts, and ensure CE compliance while aligning programs with organizational goals.

Qualifications

• Proven experience designing and leading successful training programs.
• Strong knowledge of Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance products and the independent agency distribution model is preferred.
• Thorough understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design best practices.
• Working knowledge of state insurance department regulations, including Continuing Education (CE) requirements.
• Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to motivate, mentor, and develop others.
• Outstanding organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, both in-person and virtual.
• A collaborative mindset with the ability to build productive relationships across departments and with external partners.
• High attention to detail and commitment to delivering quality results.
• An energetic, outgoing personality that thrives in collaborative environments and enjoys engaging with others.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, development, implementation, and continuous improvement of agency training programs.
• Supervise, coach, and provide direction to training team members, ensuring projects are completed accurately, efficiently, and on schedule.
• Develop engaging learning content in partnership with internal subject matter experts, department leaders, and external presenters.
• Design and deliver training programs that support independent agency success, organizational initiatives, and strategic business goals.
• Build strong, collaborative relationships with agents, employees, vendors, business stakeholders, and leadership.
• Coordinate training schedules, educational events, webinars, and promotional activities alongside the marketing team.
• Ensure all Continuing Education (CE) programs comply with state insurance department regulations and licensing requirements.
• Deliver premier service and support to employees, agents, and insureds while fostering a positive learning environment.
