Job summary

Maryland Department of Natural Resources is seeking an Agency Project Engineer/Architect III based in Annapolis to lead design, procurement, and inspection for state building and grounds maintenance projects.

The role manages construction estimating, project management, and inspection across multiple counties, coordinating with contractors and facility managers to ensure code compliance and cost-effective delivery.

Qualifications

• Six years of experience in engineering, architecture, or surveying.
• Two years as design and project manager for agency construction and maintenance projects.
• Knowledge of project management, building construction, code compliance, cost estimating, and specification development.
• Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD or InteliCAD.
• Strong organizational and communication skills to manage multiple projects and coordinate with contractors and facility managers.
• Experience with building codes and construction cost budgeting.
• Valid Maryland motor vehicle operator's license.
