The Agency Broker Relationship Manager develops and maintains relationships with small to large accounts. The work involves moderately complex to complex issues requiring in-depth analysis of situations or data.

This position is with Humana’s FMO, Innovative Financial Group, and is not a role within Humana Marketpoint.

The Agency Broker Relationship Manager (BRM) focuses on personal sales targets and troubleshooting customer problems. Responsibilities include cultivating new client relationships, developing productive relationships with existing clients, preparing sales presentations, contracts, and proposals for supervisor review. The role may involve participating in special projects such as training or communication sessions. The BRM maximizes revenue through sales of products/services via reseller partners in specific channels or markets, supporting partners throughout the sales process including marketing, advertising, compliance, and training. The role influences departmental strategy, makes decisions on complex issues regarding technical approaches, and performs work with considerable autonomy.

Typical responsibilities include:
  1. Supporting agency partners and achieving sales goals through collaboration with internal teams.
  2. Training on industry fundamentals and IFG resources, tools, and platforms.
  3. Engaging in inbound and outbound calls to agents/agencies and in-person consulting when applicable.
  4. Increasing IFG distribution through effective recruiting and onboarding.
  5. Supporting agency growth with strategic and measurable tactics.
  6. Achieving new sales and renewal goals within a defined territory.
  7. Managing daily sales and account activities.

Required Qualifications:

  • Active Health & Life Insurance licenses or willingness to obtain within 90 days.
  • Residency in the specified region.
  • 12+ months sales experience in the Healthcare Industry.
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to lead and train sales teams, utilize technology tools, and build partner relationships.
  • High self-motivation and goal-oriented mindset.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word) at an intermediate level or higher.
  • Willingness to relocate or reside in CA, NV, UT, or CO.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years experience in Medicare industry management/leadership.
  • Experience with Medicare products and brokers.
Additional Information

This role is with Humana’s FMO, Innovative Financial Group, not within Humana Marketpoint.

  • Travel requirement: 50%, including some overnight stays.
  • Hiring for two locations: East & West (NV, UT, CA, CO).

While remote, occasional travel to Humana offices for training or meetings may be required.

Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40

Pay Range: $70,000 - $95,500 annually, with potential for commission incentives based on performance.
