Job summary

Collectors Universe, Inc. is seeking a hands-on leader to oversee daily eBay operations, focusing on the collector-first approach and maintaining the highest standards. You will monitor performance, report metrics, and coach the team to excellence.

With 4–6 years of relevant experience, you will lead with integrity, resolve conflicts empathetically, and ensure training and career development. The role includes collaborating with partners and enforcing policies in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • 4–6 years in a hands-on role in collectibles grading or authentication, fragile item handling, mail processing or shipping, or related fields.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to lead with integrity.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail; research meticulously.
  • Ability to resolve conflicts with empathy and escalate when needed.
  • Bachelor’s degree not required; equivalent work experience considered.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily eBay operations, focusing on collector needs and high standards.
  • Monitor team performance and report metrics for informed decisions.

What You’ll Do
  • Support and oversee daily eBay operations, ensuring we work backwards from collector needs and maintain the highest standards—because getting it right is non‑negotiable
  • Monitor team performance and report on metrics (exceptions tracking, inbound/outbound mail, accuracy), providing accurate data for informed decisions
  • Seek feedback early and often—listen to team members, resolve conflicts with empathy, escalate when necessary, and always assume positive intent
  • Set clear team goals with supervisors and eBay leadership, starting with why to ensure everyone understands the goal and problem we’re solving
  • Recognize high performance and reward accomplishments, reinforcing our culture of excellence

  • 4‑6 years of experience in a hands‑on role in collectibles grading or authentication, fragile item handling, mail processing or shipping, or as an art or antiques handler, technician or similar position
  • High school diploma or equivalent education background preferred, or equivalent work experience
Physical Demands

Bending and Twisting: bending neck/waist, twisting neck/waist, and squatting. Computer Use: typing, mouse work, and sitting and looking at a computer for extended periods. Hand Use: regular hand use for various tasks. Hearing Requirements: ability to hear alarms, signals, and verbal instructions. Receiving and inspecting submissions: ability to receive, inspect, and retrieve submissions. Sitting or standing: ability to sit or stand for extended periods.

Compensation

Hourly range: $25.75 – $30.29. Entry‑level operations positions generally start at $16.80. Compensation based on location, job level, prior experience and skill set. The role may be eligible for bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation.
