Balance Bookkeeping is a growing professional services firm that supports agricultural businesses with essential accounting, bookkeeping, and payroll services. Known for delivering accurate, dependable service to its clients, the company plays a critical role in helping local agricultural operations stay compliant and running smoothly. As business activity remains strong and key team members prepare for maternity leave, this role will help ensure payroll operations continue without interruption.

The Opportunity

This position was created to support a busy payroll team during a temporary project expected to last approximately 3 to 4 months. You’ll work directly with the company owner and collaborate with a close-knit office team to process high-volume agricultural payroll while maintaining exceptional accuracy.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys fast-paced, detail-oriented work and takes pride in getting payroll right the first time. You’ll have the chance to make an immediate impact while working for a respected local employer serving the agricultural community.

What You’ll Do
  • Process high-volume agricultural payroll accurately and on schedule
  • Review employee timekeeping records and verify hours worked
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies in payroll and timekeeping data

The ideal candidate is someone who can stay focused, work efficiently, and handle a significant volume of payroll transactions with confidence. Accuracy is essential, as even small mistakes can have a direct impact on employees and clients. While the environment is friendly and supportive, success in this role comes from being organized, detail-oriented, and able to work independently.
