Job summary

First Independent Bank invites applications for a Credit Analyst / Ag Lender Trainee. You will analyze credit information, prepare presentations with loan officers, and assist with annual reviews for agricultural and commercial loans.

This role emphasizes community-focused service and collaborative decision-making. Candidates should bring 2-3 years of relevant experience, a finance or accounting degree, and strong analytical and communication skills.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of experience in credit analysis, portfolio management, or similar banking role.
• Strong understanding of tax returns is preferred and would be beneficial.
• Associate degree or higher in finance, accounting, or related field is favored.

Responsibilities

• Enter financial statements into analysis software and maintain FINPACK and Excel proficiency.
• Analyze financial information for Agricultural and Commercial loan requests.
• Assist with risk assessment and credit analysis per bank policy and guidelines.
• Research macroeconomic trends to evaluate borrower repayment capacity.
• Prepare credit approval analyses and credit review reports for loan committees.
• Support annual reviews of loans and renewals with a focus on risk and documentation.
