Job summary

Experience Champaign Urbana in Champaign, IL is seeking a Youth Development Professional (Martens Center) to engage Club members aged 6-11 through structured activities in Character & Leadership, Education & Enrichment, Health & Life Skills, The Arts, and Sports.

This hourly, part-time role requires at least 18 years of age and a high school diploma. You will supervise and mentor youth, collaborate with staff, and contribute to a safe, inclusive program. Wage: $16.00 per hour with PTO benefits.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience with youth aged 6–11 desirable.
• Previous classroom/daycare/after-school experience preferred.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and deliver Club curriculum and activities.
• Provide direct supervision and engage members.
• Maintain positive relationships with members and families.
• Enforce rules and manage behavior; report concerns.
• Keep attendance and program participation records.
• Ensure a safe, clean environment during programming.
• Communicate professionally with staff and partners.
• Model appropriate behavior and support youth development.
• Support MyClubHub attendance tracking.
