Job summary

Catapult Learning is seeking a Part-Time Tutor for Juniper Elementary School in Hesperia, CA. The role focuses on providing reading, mathematics, and writing support with a proven curriculum and targeted instructional strategies.

Schedule: 3:30pm to 5:30pm on Mon, Tue, Thu, Fri. We offer a strong benefits package and opportunities for professional development within a national organization.

Qualifications

• K-5th teaching experience preferred.
• TB clearance required.
• Associate's degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Tutors must complete an FBI/BCI background check.
• Unwavering belief that all children can learn.
• Ability to navigate online platforms for record keeping and communication.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose learning skill deficits and deliver prescribed instructional methods as determined by the Company.
• Consult with school personnel to coordinate services for students.
• Communicate and conference with parents on student progress.
• Deliver prescribed instructional methods as determined by the Company.
• Attend trainings and deliver designated instructional models in readiness, reading, math and/or writing.
• Develop and maintain individualized lesson plans.
• Ensure supervision of students, including escorting to sessions.
• Maintain student forms and files as required by authorities.
• Attend meetings with supervisors, teachers, principals, and parents as required.
• Maintain inventory of educational materials and supplies.
• Other duties as assigned.
