Job summary

NORY, Inc. seeks passionate Afterschool Instructors to join NYC's leading STEM enrichment program for children aged 3-12 across Manhattan and Brooklyn.

Work is after school, 1–4 days per week for 1–2 hours per day (3–5 PM) at $25/hour. We provide specialized STEM training and a clear growth path from Assistant to Lead Teacher, with opportunities during holiday camps, plus reliability bonuses for attendance and punctuality.

Qualifications

• Experience (6 months+) engaging with children ages 3-12 in an educational setting.
• Passion for nurturing young minds and turning moments into teachable experiences.
• Ability to narrate concepts with enthusiasm and creativity.
• Proven ability to support classroom dynamics and manage behaviors.
• Open to STEM training regardless of background.

Responsibilities

• Assist in delivering STEM activities and lessons.
• Prepare materials 15 minutes early for material setup.
• Review lesson plans and participate in training.
• Post-class clean-up and material organization.
