NORY, Inc. seeks passionate Afterschool Instructors to join NYC's leading STEM enrichment program for children aged 3-12 across Manhattan and Brooklyn.

Work is after school, 1–4 days per week for 1–2 hours per day (3–5 PM) at $25/hour. We provide specialized STEM training and a clear growth path from Assistant to Lead Teacher, with opportunities during holiday camps, plus reliability bonuses for attendance and punctuality.

Qualifications

• Experience (6 months+) engaging with children ages 3-12 in an educational setting.
• Passion for nurturing young minds and turning moments into teachable experiences.
• Ability to narrate concepts with enthusiasm and creativity.
• Proven ability to support classroom dynamics and manage behaviors.
• Open to STEM training regardless of background.

Details

• Hours? The hours depend on what schools are offering and what is available. It may be 1 or 2 hours between 3-5PM.
• Days? Flexible: Monday-Friday (1-4 days per week)
• Compensation? $25/hour.
• Preparation: Teachers should arrive a minimum of 15 minutes early for material setup.
• Lesson plan review, occasional training, and post-class clean-up.
• Eligible to receive a reliability bonus ($10/day) at the end of the term, contingent upon completion of attendance and punctuality requirements
• Adjustments: Payments are prorated based on the class duration, e.g., a 45-minute class is adjusted accordingly.
• Location: Manhattan and Brooklyn.
