Job summary

iCook/ iSTEAM After School in Salisbury, CT seeks enthusiastic instructors to lead after-school cooking and STEAM classes for K-4 students. You will deliver hands-on lessons, promote healthy eating, and foster curiosity about food and cultures in a fun, safe classroom setting.

Classes run 2–5pm, Monday to Friday, about 1 hour per class with about 2 hours of total work per class including prep and cleanup; pay is 80 dollars per class.

Qualifications

• Experience working with large groups of kids.
• Enthusiastic about teaching, cooking and nutrition.
• Effective classroom management skills.
• Energetic personality and ability to keep students engaged.
• Punctuality and reliability, with access to a reliable form of transportation.

Responsibilities

• Lead after school cooking/STEAM classes for elementary students (K-4).
• Teach provided curriculum related to nutrition and healthy eating in a fun way.
• Introduce kids to basic cutting and measuring techniques, food safety, and table manners.
• Purchase groceries for each class based on the recipes provided (reimbursement separately).
