Job summary

Good Shepherd Services, Ltd. seeks a Program Director for COMPASS @ PS306 to assist the Program Director in developing and managing daily afterschool programming. The role involves leading operations, coordination of activities, and partnership work with families and community organizations.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma; associates or higher in Education or Social Work encouraged.
• Three years’ youth program supervision/administration experience.
• Experience in youth program development.
• Ability to engage in crisis-intervention activities and lead group activities.
• Strong communication and organizational skills; team player and approachable.
• Commitment to strength-based and youth development approaches.
• Ability to work occasional weekends or late evenings.
• Must pass DOHMH & DOE clearances and background checks.

Responsibilities

• Assist Program Director in overseeing daily operation of the program.
• Attend staff meetings and required professional development.
• Assist with design and implementation of programming and scheduling.
• In the Program Director's absence, provide leadership and program administration.
• Track and input student records and attendance in databases.
• Promote accountability, safety, and responsibility within participants.
• Coordinate and plan activities and culminating events.
• Schedule and participate in parent involvement activities.
• Network with community organizations to offer services and information.
• Conduct outreach for participant enrollment in programming.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
