Job summary

Think Together is seeking a Part-Time Program Leader to work with a group of students in California districts and school sites. The role emphasizes leadership, mentorship, and maintaining a safe, engaging learning environment for youth.

The ideal candidate holds a High School Diploma or GED, meets district unit requirements or pre-employment testing, and can communicate effectively in English. Live Scan and TB testing are required; Spanish bilingual abilities are a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• District-specific 48 semester/60 quarter units and/or pass a pre-employment test.
• Ability to speak and write Standard English.
• Must pass Live Scan background check.
• Provide negative TB Test dated within the last 3 years.
• At least six months experience with a group of 10+ students in a classroom, afterschool, or recreation environment.
• Bi-lingual Spanish preferred.
• Excellent communication skills (Written and Verbal).

Responsibilities

• Lead a group of students in an in-person setting, maintaining high standards for behavior and safety.
• Serve as a positive adult role model for children in the program.
• Create an engaging environment that fosters belonging for students.
• Support students in making positive behavior choices and enforce discipline as needed.
• Identify student needs and communicate with Site Program Manager, teachers, admins and parents as appropriate.
• Participate in staff development and training sessions in the program.
• Provide homework assistance, academic enrichment and physical activity using provided curriculum.
• Supervise 20-25 students in classroom setting with behavior management strategies.
• Assist in snack preparation, serving and cleanup.
• Assist in setup, break down and ongoing maintenance to keep sites clean and orderly.
• Maintain student safety by taking roll and reviewing sign-in/sign-outs.
