Job summary

Think Together in the Greater Whittier area is seeking a Part-Time Program Leader to supervise in-person learning at district and school sites. You will guide a group of 20–25 students, model safe behavior, and support academic enrichment during after-school or community programs with a focus on positive development.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED, English language proficiency, basic math and reading skills (K–8), and Live Scan TB test; prior experience with groups of students

Qualifications

• Must have High School Diploma or GED.
• 48 semester units / 60 quarter units or pass a pre-employment test.
• Ability to speak and write Standard English in a public-school setting.
• Live Scan (fingerprinting) and TB test within last 3 years.
• At least six months experience guiding groups of 10+ students.
• Advanced Math and English skills (K–8).
• Bi-literate in Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead a group of students in an in-person setting with high behavior and safety standards.
• Serve as a positive adult role model through dress, speech, and attitude.
• Create an engaging environment that fosters belonging for students.
• Support students in making positive behavior choices and administer disciplinary measures when appropriate.
• Identify student needs and communicate with Site Program Manager, teachers, and parents.
• Provide homework assistance and academic enrichment in person.
• Assist with snack, setup, break down and site maintenance to keep areas clean and orderly.
