Job summary

Neighborhood Boys & Girls Club is seeking a part-time Out of School Program Aide to support Club Manager and youth development staff. The role centers on safety and well-being of members, leading recreational activities, assisting with homework, and implementing learning plans in a dynamic club environment.

Responsibilities include supervising youth, maintaining attendance and records, and helping with off-site field trips.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
• Experience: Minimum of one (1) year of verifiable experience working directly with children.
• Certifications: CPR/First Aid certification and Mandated Reporter status required (or obtained within the orientation window).
• Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills. Baseline proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Provide continuous supervision of children, maintaining staff-to-youth ratios and safety protocols.
• Assist in managing child safety during travel to and from activities and field trips.
• Lead recreational, cultural, and physical activities for participants.
• Provide academic support by helping children with homework and learning tasks.
• Follow lesson plans to enhance student learning and engagement.
• Set up program areas with necessary equipment and materials.
• Maintain a clean, safe program space and perform light cleaning as needed.
