Brains and Motion Education (BAM!) is seeking a Site Director for on‑site, full service PM enrichment programs at Nettelhorst Elementary School in Chicago. You will lead instructors, manage daily operations, and implement BAM!

curriculum and policies to provide a safe, nurturing environment for students. The role requires 21+ years, 60 college credits with 18 in child development or related fields, and 2–3 years of youth experience plus 1–2 years of supervision.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Minimum education requirement: 60 semester (or 90 quarter) college credit hours, including at least 18 semester (or 27 quarter) hours in child development, education, or related fields such as recreation or physical education.
• At least 2–3 years of experience working with youth (K–8).
• At least 1–2 years of supervisory/management experience.
• Passion for teaching and coaching, with effective communication skills.
• Demonstrated knowledge of and experience with the best practices in youth development program planning, curriculum development, methods of teaching, and evaluation.
• Strong attention to detail and efficient class management abilities.
• Must possess a current, government issued photo identification, such as a valid driver's license or state ID, and have dependable transportation to travel to assigned program locations as needed.
• Background check required.
• Must hold a valid CPR/First Aid Certification or be willing to obtain one.
• Ability to lift and carry approximately 20‑50 lbs. occasionally, with or without accommodations.

Responsibilities

• Direct and guide on‑site coaches in running Full Service PM Enrichment programs, afterschool STEM, Sports, and Arts programs and homework help.
• Train, and supervise staff/instructors. This includes leading team meetings and training on a weekly basis and meeting with BAM! leadership to oversee and continue programmatic and staff development.
• Plan, develop, implement and evaluate overall afterschool program, service and activities to ensure they meet stated objectives and student needs and interests.
• Compile regular reports reflecting all activities, attendance and participation.
• Work with on‑site coaches to ensure they follow BAM! curriculum and program policies.
• Maintain safety protocols, including check‑in/check‑out procedures for program participants.
• Communicate regularly with parents regarding student behavior, academic progress and program updates.
• Develop partnerships with parents, community leaders and school administration.
• Serve as the primary liaison with school staff during program hours.
• Establish authority through effective leadership, communication, and patience.
• Maintain regular communication with the Program Manager and school leadership.
