Job summary

Brains & Motion Education (BAM!) seeks a Lead Program Instructor to guide after‑school enrichment and support daily site operations on a local school campus in Chicago. You will lead high‑energy, hands‑on activities for elementary and middle school students while collaborating with the Site Director to ensure safety and quality.

This role is ideal for educators or youth leaders aiming to build leadership and administrative experience in an after‑school setting.

Qualifications

• 2+ years working with K–8 youth in school, after-school, camp, recreation, or enrichment environments.
• Leadership experience coaching, mentoring, or leading peers in an educational setting preferred.
• Strong background in positive behavior management and proactive youth guidance.
• Excellent organizational skills and dependable punctuality.
• CPR/First Aid certification is required or willing to complete upon hire.
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check and BAM! training modules.
• Valid Driver’s License or State ID with reliable transportation; ability to lift up to 20–50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Site Leadership & Operational Support: partner with the Site Director to manage day-to-day operations and act as site leader when needed.
• Instructional Delivery & Student Engagement: lead K–8 activities across STEM, arts, and sports with safe, supportive environment.
• Team Coaching & Mentorship: mentor instructors, assist onboarding, model classroom management, monitor activity quality.
• Communication & Community Connections: maintain open communication with parents, school partners, and program managers.
