Job summary

Brains and Motion Education is seeking a Site Director to oversee on-site afterschool programs, ensuring a safe and enriching environment for students. You will lead a team of instructors, direct daily operations and implement BAM! curriculum and policies.

You will train and supervise staff, plan the program, and communicate regularly with parents and school partners to ensure quality experiences for K–8 students. This is a part-time, on-site role in California.

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • Two years of college coursework (48 semester units) or higher.
  • 2–3 years of experience with youth (K–8).
  • 1–2 years of supervisory/management experience.
  • CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain.
  • Ability to lift and carry 20–50 lbs.

  • Direct and guide on-site coaches in running afterschool STEM, Sports and Arts programs.
  • Train and supervise staff, lead weekly team meetings and training.
  • Plan and evaluate the overall afterschool program to meet student needs.
  • Compile reports reflecting activities, attendance and participation.
  • Maintain safety protocols and check-in/check-out procedures.
  • Communicate with parents about behavior and progress.
  • Develop partnerships with parents, community leaders and schools.
  • Serve as liaison with school staff during program hours.

You will lead a team of instructors, direct daily operations and implement BAM! curriculum and policies.In this role, you will:Direct and guide on-site coaches in running afterschool STEM, Sports, and Arts programs and homework help.Train, and supervise staff/instructors. This includes leading team meetings and training on a weekly basis and meeting with BAM! leadership to oversee and continue programmatic and staff development.Plan, develop, implement and evaluate overall afterschool program, service and activities to ensure they meet stated objectives and student needs and interests.Compile regular reports reflecting all activities, attendance and participation.Work with on-site coaches to ensure they follow BAM! curriculum and program policies.Maintain safety protocols, including check-in/check-out procedures for program participants.Communicate regularly with parents regarding student behavior, academic progress and program updates.Develop partnerships with parents, community leaders and school administrationServe as the primary liaison with school staff during program hours.Establish authority through effective leadership, communication, and patience.Maintain regular communication with the Program Manager and school leadership.QUALIFICATIONSMust be at least 21 years oldAt least two years of college coursework (48 semester units), an associate’s degree or higher, or proof of certification through a local assessment that meets the requirements of the "Every Student Succeeds Act".At least 2–3 years of experience working with youth (K–8)At least 1–2 years of supervisory/management experiencePassion for teaching and coaching, with effective communication skills.Demonstrated knowledge of and experience with the best practices in youth development program planning, curriculum development, methods of teaching, and evaluation.Strong attention to detail and efficient class management abilities.Must possess a current, government issued photo identification, such as a valid driver’s license or state ID, and have dependable transportation to travel to assigned program locations as needed.Background check requiredMust hold a valid CPR/First Aid Certification or be willing to obtain one.Ability to lift and carry approximately 20-50 lbs. occasionally, with or without accommodations.Details:Wage: $35.00 / HourJob Type: Part-TimeAvailability required: September 14, 2026 / Monday through Thursday, 1:45 PM to 4:30 PM (PST)Additional Availability:Candidates should be available for one Saturday session, possibly to be scheduled in December.Brains and Motion Education is proud to be an equal opportunity employer and is committed to maintaining a diverse and inclusive work environment.
