Job summary

Gathering Outreach Community Services is seeking paraprofessionals and instructional aides for the after-school program. This part-time, school-year role supports elementary students with homework, enrichment activities, and positive mentorship in a structured setting.

You will engage students from 3:00 PM to 6:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with potential additional hours on teacher workdays and breaks. Ideal candidates have school-support experience and strong classroom management skills.

Qualifications

• Currently employed as a paraprofessional, instructional aide, teacher assistant, substitute teacher or similar school support role.
• High school diploma or GED required; an associate's degree or higher is advantageous.
• Experience with elementary-aged students and after-school settings is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and engage elementary students during after-school programming.
• Assist with homework and academic enrichment activities.
• Lead or support arts, STEM, fitness, and enrichment activities.
• Maintain a safe, structured, and inclusive learning environment.
• Communicate professionally with program leadership and families as needed.
• Complete check-in, attendance, snack distribution, transitions and dismissal.
