Job summary

Washington Yu Ying Public Charter School is seeking a REEF Afterschool Lead Teacher to develop and implement engaging lesson plans while fostering a positive and engaging environment for students. This role involves working closely with a maximum of 18 students and collaborating with other staff members to provide effective afterschool programs.

The ideal candidate will have experience with child care, strong communication skills, and preferably fluency in Mandarin. The position is part-time, with a maximum of 20 hours per week and offers a dynamic working environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred, or a combination of coursework and experience.
• Experience with before-and-aftercare program administration is strongly preferred.
• Fluency in Mandarin Chinese is strongly preferred.
• Must have basic technology skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and assist in the coordination of before and aftercare programs.
• Create fun and engaging activities or projects for students.
• Develop and maintain a positive learning environment.
• Record and distribute snacks while following health regulations.
