Job summary

AoPS Academy is seeking a Part-Time Language Arts Instructor to teach Engaging Curriculum to small classes at our Fremont, CA campus. You will engage students, manage up to 16 learners, and provide feedback on assessments, building strong connections with families to support ongoing learning.

Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree (education or humanities preferred) and demonstrated experience in teaching or tutoring language arts. In-person, after-school and weekend availability is required.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s degree is required.
• A Bachelor’s degree in education or a humanities field is strongly preferred.
• Strong content knowledge in reading, writing, and/or grammar.
• Experience teaching or tutoring students.

Responsibilities

• Teach Engaging Curriculum using company-created material for advanced students.
• Actively engage students to promote student-led learning.
• Classroom management for up to 16 students.
• Grade and provide feedback on tests.
• Build relationships with students and families to impact their educational journey.
• Inspire learning and critical thinking in language arts.
