Job summary

The Child Center of NY is seeking a Group Leader to run after-school programs, create curriculum, and maintain a safe learning environment for participants. You will provide homework help, supervise activities, and help with attendance and documentation.

Typical schedule is Monday to Friday, 1:30 PM to 6:00 PM, with a pay rate of $18.00 per hour. Equal opportunity employer and inclusive workplace.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Content-specific experience (sports, arts, literacy, etc.).
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Experience working with children and ability to plan independently.
• Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines and multi-task.

Responsibilities

• Provide homework help, facilitate activities and supervise children in programs after school hours.
• Supervise and monitor children and take daily attendance.
• Assist tutors and activity specialists to manage and document behavior.
• Maintain supplies.
• Assist and maintain data collection and participant documents.
• Attend all necessary program meetings.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
