Job summary

Friendship Public Charter School is seeking an after-school Extended Day Assistant to supervise the classroom and support the daily routines from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday. The role provides opportunities to facilitate enrichment activities and ensure a safe, nurturing environment for students in a community-focused program.

Qualifications

Must be at least eighteen (18) years old and meet licensing agency requirements.
Possess a warm, friendly personality and relate well to children.
Be willing to fulfill responsibilities per the program’s needs.

Responsibilities

Supervises the classroom.
Facilitates the academic and enrichment curricula as prescribed.
Complete daily attendance accurately and on time.
Maintain a neat, organized classroom and supportive team environment.
Attend staff meetings and trainings.
Ensure safety during all activities and dismissal procedures.
Greet parents and children with courtesy and positivity.
Support hygiene habits and daily routines.

Education

Associate's degree or higher in education/child development

48 credit hours in education/child development with 6 months experience

High school diploma + CDA credential

ETS Para-Pro certification
