Job summary

Newport-Mesa Unified School District is seeking a dedicated staff member for Extended Day Programs to support academic and enrichment activities for students after school. Work hours are between 2:00 p.m.

and 6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, 10 months per year, promoting a safe, nurturing environment and homework assistance. Responsibilities include attendance data entry, materials preparation, snack coordination, and supervising classroom and computer lab activities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two years of experience working with children in organized settings.
• First Aid certification required within six months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Implement after-school academic and enrichment activities.
• Provide homework assistance and supervise students for safety.
• Collect, maintain and input attendance data into program records.
• Coordinate snacks and supervise classroom and computer lab activities.
