Job summary

Right At School is hiring an Educator in New York for Monday–Friday afternoons from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM, with up to 15 hours per week. Pay ranges from $17.00 to $20.00 per hour, depending on education and experience.

You will plan engaging activities, ensure safety, and support children's learning in a before/after school program. Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of experience with children under 13, strong customer service skills, and the ability to lift 25 lbs.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience working with children under 13.
• Ability to lift 25 lbs.
• Excellent customer service and ability to work in a team.
• Flexibility to support additional local programs as needed.
• New York state requirements: First Aid and CPR in-person; TB test; MMR; 18+; HS diploma/GED.

Responsibilities

• Review daily goals and progress in program meetings.
• Prepare and lead activities and curriculum aligned with program objectives.
• Maintain a safe, nurturing environment and model positive guidance.
• Communicate effectively with children, parents, staff, and school personnel.
• Monitor safety, document attendance and incidents.
