Job summary

Right At School in New York is seeking an Educator to support before/after school programs for children under 13. You will plan daily activities, supervise safe play, and model positive guidance to inspire a love of learning.

This role requires teamwork, meeting NY state requirements (First Aid/CPR, TB test, high school diploma), and the ability to lift 25 lbs. The schedule is Monday–Friday mornings and afternoons, with opportunities for additional local program support.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience with children under 13.
• Ability to lift 25 lbs and engage in active activities.
• Meets New York state requirements for after-school staff.

Responsibilities

• Review daily goals and updates in team meetings.
• Prepare and lead curriculum-aligned activities and fitness sessions.
• Maintain a safe, nurturing environment and model positive guidance.
• Monitor safety, document attendance and incidents per protocol.
• Communicate effectively with children, parents, staff and schools.
