Job summary

Right At School in Virginia is seeking an Educator to join our before/after school program. The role involves leading activities, ensuring safety, and delivering engaging curriculum for children under 13.

Shifts run Monday through Friday with a split schedule: mornings 6:30–9:05 and afternoons 3:40–6:00, with up to 24.58 hours per week. Pay ranges from $16.00 to $18.00 per hour, depending on education and experience, and includes a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children under 13 years old.
• Able to lift 25 lbs and manage classroom activities.
• Meet state requirements for Virginia programs.
• Must be 18+ years old and pass background checks.

Responsibilities

• Daily Program Meetings: review goals, updates, and progress.
• Organize and facilitate daily activities and curriculum.
• Lead by example with safe, nurturing environment.
• Prioritize safety and joy; document attendance or incidents.
• Communicate effectively with children, parents, staff and school personnel.
