Job summary

The Northeast Bronx YMCA is seeking a Content Specialist responsible for selecting and managing curricula for multiple COMPASS programs. You will oversee implementation, coach staff, and contribute to program quality under the Program Director's supervision.

Ideal candidates hold a BA in Education or related field (Master’s preferred) with at least two years’ experience with children and one year in a supervisory role. Proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Education or related field required; Master’s Degree preferred.
• Minimum of two years’ experience with children under 13 and at least one year in a supervisory role.
• Experience in developing education-based curricula and lesson plans; proficient with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Select and manage content across all required program areas, creating curricula when needed.
• Oversee lesson plan implementation and support staff to ensure program quality.
• Coach staff with strategies to enhance facilitation, classroom management, and behavior support.
• Review content to align with high‑quality standards of Y Afterschool Programs.
• Provide professional development for program staff to improve overall program quality.
• Monitor and evaluate activities to ensure a safe, high‑quality environment for youth.
