Family YMCA of Greater Augusta is seeking a Prime-Time/Afterschool Counselor to lead engaging after-school activities and create a safe, fun space for kids.

You will communicate with families and school staff, support snack time, and help keep the space ready for play. A high school diploma or GED is required, and CPR/First Aid certification is expected within 45 days. This part-time role offers meaningful impact and growth within our mission-driven organization.

Qualifications

• Candidates must be 18+ with a high school diploma or GED.
• CPR/First Aid certification is required or must be obtained within 45 days.
• Willingness to learn YMCA curriculum and participate in training.
• Ability to lead 30+ minutes of active play and keep children engaged.

Responsibilities

• Run after-school activities that are fun and enriching for kids.
• Ensure a safe and supportive space for every child.
