Job summary

The YMCA of Upper Palmetto is seeking an Part Time After School Counselor in Fort Mill, SC. You will provide program leadership for an afterschool group under supervision and support branch activities and events as needed.

You will lead the specific group, maintain discipline, follow emergency procedures, and plan open period activities while ensuring reports and attendance are up to date. You’ll uphold YMCA values daily.

Qualifications

• Experience with small group settings preferred.
• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Must be a high school junior.

The Counselor will assist the Childcare Director/Program Director/Branch Manager/Regional VP with various branch activities such as special events, and other activities that occur on various occasions.

• Maintain discipline within after school group.
• Follow emergency procedures in case of accidents.
• Remain with after school group at all times.
• Plan and implement open period activities.
• Maintain reports and attendance records.
• Follow established after school procedures and guidelines.
