South Burlington School District (VT) is seeking a part-time Schools Out Counselor, Level 2, to assist in planning, supervising, and delivering afterschool activities at the designated site. The role reports to the School’s Out Site Director and participates in program operations, field trips, and staff training.

Qualifications include a high school diploma and 2+ years in school, childcare, or customer service settings; CPR/First Aid and CPI certifications are expected.

Competenze

• HS diploma
• 2+ years in a school, childcare, or customer service setting
• Knowledge of disabilities, laws, teaching principles and methods, and instructional programming helpful

Mansioni

• Assist in the daily operation of the afterschool program by interacting with students, staff, parents, and the school community to create a positive, welcoming learning environment.
• Provide general supervision to students and ensure participation, inclusion, conduct, and discipline guidelines are followed.
• Monitor student transitions and dismissal from activities.
• Serve as liaison and maintain relationships with students, school admins, parents/guardians, volunteers, and community members.
• Assist with coordination and supervision of students during monthly field trips.
• Attend meetings as needed and provide regular feedback to the Site Director.
• Assist Site Director in attendance, data entry, training staff, communications, activity planning, and enrollment procedures.
• May mentor Level 1 or Youth Volunteer/Leader in training employees.
• Participate in training and development as determined.
