Job summary

South Burlington School District is seeking a part-time School’s Out Counselor, Level 3, to support the after-school program at the assigned location in South Burlington, VT. The role involves supervision, program planning, and coordination with site staff and the community.

Qualifications

• Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with students, staff, and the community.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Experience in after-school or youth programs preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the daily operation of the after school program under the Site Director.
• Supervise students and maintain a safe, inclusive learning environment.
• Coordinate with staff, parents/guardians, volunteers, and community members for activities.
• Assist planning, coordination, and supervision of monthly field trips.
• Provide regular reports to the Site Director with a summary of activities and concerns.
• Participate in training and onboarding of new hires.
• Assist with attendance, data entry, and enrollment procedures.
• May participate in interviewing and hiring processes and student behavior resolution.
