Job summary

East Bay Agency for Children (EBAC) seeks an Afterschool Intervention Specialist to support TK–5 students with academic and behavioral needs in a school-based program. You will plan lessons, lead activities, and coordinate with caregivers and school staff to ensure student progress.

This 30-hour/week, 10.5-month role offers a base pay of $26.00/hr with bilingual premium based on site needs. Experience with trauma-informed practices and multilingual populations is a plus.

Qualifications

• Completion of 48 college semester units or successful completion of the Instructional Aid (IA) exam required.
• Previous experience working with parents/caregivers and school day staff highly desirable.
• Experience with preschool/elementary students from diverse, multilingual populations.

Responsibilities

• Plan and prepare academic or social-emotional lesson plans for individuals or small groups.
• Lead activities that support students' needs.
• Collaborate with caregivers and school staff to meet students' afterschool needs.
• Participate in staff, COST, and parent meetings.
• Assess student needs and document progress; communicate with parents and staff.
