Job summary

Learning Through an Expanded Arts Program (LEAP) seeks passionate Activity Specialists for long-term after-school and summer programs across NYC. You’ll lead arts-integrated activities, mentor youth, and collaborate with school staff to ensure safe, engaging experiences.

Requirements include 2 years of youth program experience, a college degree in the Arts or Education (or equivalent), and the ability to work in a team. Pre-employment screening applies; LEAP is an equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience working with youth in a classroom or group setting.
• Experience successfully instructing youth in the arts.
• College degree in the Arts or Education, or equivalent experience.
• Familiarity with Students with Disabilities and English Language Learners.

Responsibilities

• Lead age-appropriate, hands-on activities that fuse arts and academics.
• Engage participants to develop artistic, educational, and leadership skills.
• Ensure safety and policy compliance during all activities.
• Attend meetings, trainings, and special events as required.
