Job summary

Learning Through an Expanded Arts Program (LEAP) is seeking passionate Activity Specialists for long-term teaching opportunities in after-school programs, summer programs, and special projects across NYC schools. Candidates should have demonstrated experience in the arts and in educational settings, with a focus on experiential learning.

Specialists will lead LEAP activities, coordinate with staff and administrators, and foster inclusive, student-centered programs that blend arts and academics.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience working with youth in a classroom or group setting.
• Experience instructing youth in the arts.
• College degree in the Arts or Education, or equivalent experience.
• Familiarity with Students with Disabilities and English Language Learners.

Responsibilities

• Develop age-appropriate, hands-on activities that fuse arts and academics.
• Engage participants to develop artistic, educational, and leadership skills.
• Ensure safety and policy compliance for all participants.
