LEAP (Learning Through an Expanded Arts Program) in New York City is seeking passionate Activity Specialists to lead after-school, summer, and special projects that fuse the arts with academics across partner schools in all five boroughs.

You will develop engaging activities in STEM, art, and/or sports, foster inclusive environments, and collaborate with staff, school administrators, and families to support youth growth and confidence.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience working with youth in classroom or group settings
• Experience instructing youth in the arts
• College degree in the Arts or Education, or equivalent experience
• Familiarity with Students with Disabilities and English Language Learners
• Commitment to inclusion and advocacy in the arts
• Ability to pass NYS SACC clearances and background checks

Responsabilités

• Develop age- and skill-appropriate activities fusing the arts and academics
• Engage participants to build artistic, educational, and leadership skills
• Ensure safety and policy compliance with staff and school administration
• Attend meetings, training and events to grow knowledge and skills
