Job summary

Francis W. Parker School is seeking a part-time Parker PM Extended Day Staff for the 2026-2027 school year in Chicago. The role provides supervision and engaging activities for students as they transition from the school day to aftercare.

Hours are 2:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, with a Bachelor’s degree (or progress toward one) preferred. Compensation is $19.00 per hour and benefits are not included.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required or in progress with at least two years completed toward degree.
• Experience working with young children strongly preferred.
• Interest in learning and development of very young children.
• Ability to interact well with students, faculty, staff, administration and parents.
• Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Set up and clean up spaces daily.
• Plan, prepare and implement daily activities for children.
• Communicate daily with parents, faculty and staff.
• Monitor daily after-school attendance and supervise activities.
• Attend Extended Day staff meetings and professional development as needed.
• Supervise students during Days-Off programs when classes are not in session.
