Job summary

The Child Center of NY is seeking a Program Coordinator to support the Program Director in managing daily operations, supervising staff, and ensuring safe, high-quality programming across NYC locations. You will assist with planning activities, coordinate staff schedules, monitor compliance with DYCD requirements, and engage families and community partners to expand access to services.

Hours are Monday through Friday, 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM, with a focus on inclusive practices and trauma-informed

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of experience working with youth in educational or community settings.
• Bilingual in Spanish, Mandarin, Cantonese, Bengali, Haitian Creole or other community languages preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and basic data entry systems.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, implementing, and monitoring program activities to align with agency mission and participant needs.
• Support staff scheduling, supervision, and program logistics.
• Maintain a visible presence during program hours to ensure safety and quality of service.
• Observe programming, provide coaching and feedback, and ensure compliance with DYCD requirements.
• Promote inclusive practices and trauma-informed care through staff development and collaboration with stakeholders.
