Job summary

Tim Hortons is seeking a friendly full-time Shift Supervisor at 3667 Main St, Piffard, NY, for afternoons and weekends. You will oversee restaurant staff, expedite orders, and maintain cleanliness to ensure smooth operations.

Reporting to the Restaurant Manager, you will manage hourly employees, participate in scheduling, training, health and safety compliance, and drive guest satisfaction through strong leadership.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, must be at least 18 years of age.
• Minimum of 3 months previous food service management experience.
• ServSafe Manager Certified.
• Strong problem-solving, organization, and time management skills.
• Excellent knowledge of Tim Hortons products and procedures.
• Action- and results-oriented mindset.
• Strong interpersonal skills, including motivating, delegation, conflict management, respect for others, and active listening.
• Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example in demonstrating and reinforcing positive customer service behaviours.
• Respond to customer service complaints, resolving problems, and turning negative situations into positive ones.
• Assist in scheduling staff breaks and tasks to maintain Tim Hortons standards.
• Be flexible on the floor to troubleshoot and address issues as needed.
• Pre-screen and interview applicants for openings.
• Support training and ensure staff have necessary tools and support.
• Supervise hourly employees during shifts, ensuring policy alignment and taking corrective action.
• Stay updated on health, safety regulations and employment law.
• Provide ongoing performance feedback to management.
