Job summary

Bimeda in Le Sueur, Minnesota, seeks a Production Supervisor for the afternoon shift to lead day-to-day production activities in a fast-paced pharmaceutical setting.

You will own safety, quality, delivery, and cost performance, manage inventory, drive continuous improvement, and coach a diverse team to achieve operational objectives.

This hands-on role requires a transformational mindset and collaboration with other departments to meet regulatory standards and customer expectations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of supervisory experience in a production/manufacturing environment.
• Bachelor's degree or College degree in a related field is required.
• Strong working knowledge of FDA, cGMP regulations and quality standards in the pharmaceutical industry would be considered an asset.
• Working knowledge of OSHA.
• Exposure to problem solving & continuous improvement methodology and practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage production to established specifications, in conformance with cGMP, GDP and Safe Work Practices.
• Manage inventory of critical supplies to ensure production needs are met.
• Act as a change agent for the site: challenge the status quo and lead transformation initiatives.
• Maintain and optimize production schedules and metrics; reduce unplanned downtime and scrap.
• Motivate and develop employees through coaching and accountability; drive SOPs and improvements.
• Build a transformation mindset; coach employees to identify waste and own improvements.
• Facilitate training and development of all production employees for safety and quality.
• Ensure deviations from validated processes are reported and resolved.
• Champion safety- and quality-first culture; stop the line if safety or quality is at risk.
