Job summary

YMCA of Central Stark County is seeking Assistant Teachers to serve as role models for school-age children. You will lead through example, encourage healthy behaviors, and ensure safety and supervision while implementing the established curriculum.

Responsibilities include planning activities, supervising groups, observing each child, and maintaining records and relationships with families. Training in First Aid/CPR and 10 hours of Ohio-approved training per year are provided by the YMCA and

Qualifications

• At least 18 years old.
• High school Diploma.
• Ability to be on feet for 3–5 hours while leading/participating in activities.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing curriculum within established guidelines.
• Contribute to creation and implementation of daily lesson/activity plans.
• Supervise children, the classroom, and all activities.
• Maintain positive relationships and effective communication with parents.
• Maintain program site and equipment and required program records.
