Job summary

Delora Care, a Helping Hearts Company, is seeking an experienced caregiver for a private home care assignment in the Bellevue Nashville area. The role focuses on safety, fall prevention, and respecting the client’s independence while providing compassionate, reliable support.

The client is an adult recovering from orthopedic surgery with a high fall risk. You will assist with transfers using a gait belt, standby shower support, meal prep, light housekeeping, and transport when needed.

Qualifications

• Caregiving experience with high fall risk clients.
• Comfort with gait belt transfers and walker assistance.
• Experience with standby shower assistance and bathroom safety.
• Reliable transportation and valid Tennessee driver's license with auto insurance.
• Ability to follow a written care plan and document care accurately.
• Completion of background, Sex Offender Registry, and Abuse Registry screenings.
• Ability to navigate stairs (9 exterior steps) and manage mobility safely.
• Professional communication with office and adherence to HIPAA.

Responsibilities

• Provide nonmedical personal care and mobility assistance.
• Assist with safe ambulation, transfers, and walker management.
• Prepare meals, light housekeeping, laundry, and errands.
• Shower standby assistance and ensure bathroom safety.
• Transport client in caregiver's vehicle when needed.
• Maintain clean walking paths and reduce fall hazards.
• Communicate any changes in condition to the office promptly.
• Document shift notes using WellSky Personal Care.
