Job summary

Delora Care, a Helping Hearts Company, is seeking a dependable, experienced caregiver for a private home care assignment in the Bellevue Nashville area. The role emphasizes fall prevention, safe transfers, and maintaining the client’s independence with walker support and a gait belt.

The position requires afternoon shifts, about 3 hours per day, 7 days a week. Duties include standby shower assistance, light housekeeping, meal preparation, errands, and compassionate, respectful care in the home.

Qualifications

• Dependable caregiving experience in home settings.
• Comfortable with gait belt, transfers, walker assistance, and fall prevention.
• Able to follow mobility and safety plans and provide proactive care.
• Comfortable around pets and household routines.

Responsibilities

• Assist with safe ambulation and transfers using a gait belt as needed.
• Keep walker within reach and maintain mobility assistance.
• Provide standby shower assistance and monitor bathroom safety.
• Prepare dinner and perform light housekeeping and laundry.
• Change bed linens and run small errands or grocery shop.
• Water plants and assist with basic pet care as needed.
